Buck The Trend
Zach was building a career in Boston, and like most of us, he followed the business casual trends. He was attached to his Patagonia logo-chested mountain vest and wearing fewer suits than ever.
But he quickly grew tired of how much he looked like his peers, the dull colors, the “bro” stigma and he missed the individuality, style and artisanship he had with his suits.
Zach’s dissatisfaction with business casualization, the toxicity in the garment industry and a deep appreciation for tailored suits imbued him into doing something about it...He wanted to build a company like Patagonia and not wear Patagonia to that company.
The Spirit of the Suit
He was raised to not just point out problems, but to offer solutions to them. The vest was a fixture in menswear, and he believed he could unzip the institution of it, and bring a tailor’s mentality into the design process.
Design Principles
UTILITARIAN
Elegant and understated like a suit— but quietly functional— embedded with features and tucked away pockets to keep us feeling ready and on point.
WOOL OVER SYNTHETICS
Read more about the good-nature of our wool that helps us be the brand we strive to be.
NO LOGOS
Designing an understated alternative requires no advertising. The details can be the trademark.
MAX-VALUE
Source an elegant fiber that was as sustainable as it was economical. Accessible like Patagonia ($99) at the near quality of Loro Piana ($2,499).
MULTIFACETED
Stand-out design, that caters to the boardroom and the bar.
Zach and his team are stationed in Boston, applying the same principles to new categories.
